Six (6) and four (4) round Swiss-style tournaments, open and point-handicap, were held at the club on Saturday, February 26, 2000. We had a wonderful time! In both tournaments each player had six and four matches respectively, which were best two out of three games; each game to 21 points. Tournament Director, Carol Stoddard, and Faculty Advisor, Joe Badrena, did a great job of running the tournament. Close scores for the point-handicap games made for some exciting matches. The Winter 2000 Tournament was held on campus in building 50. The Salem Table Tennis Club's mission is to promote awareness of the Olympic Sport of Table Tennis, and to attract students and community members for recreational and competitive events that will have a positive impact on the region.
